International Coming Out Day

This week, on the official Coming Out Day, we had a packed show! We talked to Tim McArthur – who performs a musical comedy character called Sister Mary McArthur – described as a cross between Mrs Brown, Mrs Merton and Dame Edna. Sister Mary is doing a late night chat Confession show at The Jermyn Street Theatre, with current leading West End stars including Helen Lederer.

We met Amy Seely, founder of www.whensallymetsally.co.uk – a lesbian lifestyle website, who told us about a new writing competition to be launched by the site soon.

And finally, we also chatted to Iman Qureshi from Same-Same – part of the South Asian Literature Festival. Same-Same explores LGBT-Asian writing and representation in literature.
