Paul Burston takes Rosie’s seat and has Marcos Brito, aka QBoy aka DJ Sam LeMans, and comedian VG Lee in the studio.
They chat about their affinity to Cagney & Lacey but also, of course, what Marcos and VG Lee are up to. Marcos tells us about producing and writing new music and his work with Larry Tee besides DJing at Shadowlounge among other venues.
VG Lee discusses her new novel ‘Always You, Edina’ and reveals that she writes for the famous Lady Magazine. She is reading from her novel at Polari on 8 May and at Gay’s the Word on 17 May 2012.
For rights reasons the music is not on the podcast, but that’s what you could hear on the show:
1) Fingersnap: ‘Some Kind Of Masterpiece’ from the EP “Smokehouse”
2) O’Hooley & Tidow: ‘Gentleman Jack’ from the album “Fragile”
3) James Maker: ‘Trash’ from the album “The Milwaukee Sessions”
