Comedian Leslie Jordan spreads a little happiness in the Resonance studio with his cheerful personality that does not seem far away from the role of Beverley Leslie, which he played in the TV series “Will & Grace”. He tells Rosie about his latest show “Fruit Fly”. It wittily explores why gay men become like their mother. Of course, the inspiration came from his own mother… Leslie’s “Fruit Fly” has its European premiere at the Leicester Square Theatre and runs from 12th to 16th March 2013.
Lovely Wendy Baverstock shares her views on Sue Perkins’ first BBC sitcom “Heading Out”, which Perkins has not only written but also sees her in the lead role. Wendy also takes a closer look at the gay comedy “Gayby”, which is out on DVD on 11th March. She enjoyed both and recommends them.
For rights reasons the music is not on the podcast, but that’s what you could hear on the show:
1) Heather Peace: ‘Fight For (Jack Guy Remix) from the album “Fairytales”
2) David Bowie: ‘Where We Are Now’ from the album “The Next Day”
3) Christopher Owens: ‘’A Broken Heart’ from the album “Lysandre”
