Rosie Wilby takes part in Resofit, a fund-raising gala comedy night for Resonance104.4fm “the best radio station in London” The Guardian.
Resofit picks up the mike on Wednesday 11th September at 7.30pm at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London.
The bill is organised by Stewart Lee and sees the Comedy Underground mining upwards and onwards for independent arts radio. Besides Rosie, Stew is joined by Shazia Mirza, Rob Newman, Lewis Schaffer and Baconface.
Three times winner of the Radio Academy’s Nations and Regions Award and in its 11th year of broadcasting, Resonance is a not-for-profit station which needs to raise cash to maintain its extraordinary 24/7 service. All proceeds from Resofit will allow Resonance to continue “operating in an enchanted realm of total creative freedom far beyond the ever-encroaching demographic and corporate timidities of either the BBC or commercial radio” The Observer.
“Uninterrupted by adverts, traffic and weather reports, news bulletins, tired playlists and tireder DJs, Resonance truly is a broadcaster for the people, with all their quirks, passions and oddities.” Time Out
