Polari Prize Winner: Mari Hannah

murder wall fc - SmallExclusive extra content! At this year’s award ceremony for the Polari First Book Prize, Rosie grabbed the first interview with the winner Mari Hannah. Listen to what she said:

Mari Hannah received the prize for her crime story ‘The Murder Wall’, which focuses on a lesbian detective who works in a typically male-dominated environment. Author, journalist and Polari host Paul Burston described the book as “thrilling, entertaining and a hugely promising debut from an exciting new voice in crime fiction”.

The ceremony took place on 13th November at the Polari Literary Salon at the Southbank Centre.

Prior to the event, Rosie spoke to Mari Hannah on Out In South London on 15th October 2013.
