Alex Lawther and Juliet Stevenson in Departure

Rosie talks to film director Andrew Steggall about his debut feature Departure, which screened recently at BFI Flare and stars Juliet Stevenson.

Glasgow-based Rosana Cade tells us about her involvement with the Cockpit theatre’s live art festival Beyond Bloodlines. She performs a piece entitled My Big Sister Taught Me This Lap Dance on 11 June.

Poet Fergus Evans discusses the Creative Future Literary Awards, a competition he manages, and brings along two previous winners, Sanya Semakula and Oliver Redfern. 2016 submissions close on 13 June.

For rights reasons the music is not on the podcast, but here’s what we played on the live show:

1) Rae Spoon: Love Is a Hunter from the album Love Is a Hunter
2) Antony and the Johnsons: One Dove from the album The Crying Light
3) David Bowie: Rebel Rebel from the album Diamond Dogs
4) Blondie: Call Me from the album American Gigolo
